Summary:
In this project, we examine the outage performance of a Multi-hop Amplify-and-Forward (AF) Relay system with cooperative diversity, over Rician fading channels. In this configuration, the received signal in each node results from the combination of the signals coming from the source and the previous relays. Specifically, we derive the exact expression of the Outage Probability as a function of the expected SNR of the whole wireless communication system, i.e. from the source to the destination point, from the assumption that a Multi-hop AF Relay system can be approached by a Dual-hop scheme. Finally, using the obtained results, the corresponding numerical simulations are presented.
