The theatrical organization 'Aeroploio' and its contribucion to Greek Theatre for young audiences

Theatrical organization 'Aeroplio' was founded by the director and writer Nikos Kamtsis, 34 years ago. Since then, he and the set and costume designer Mika Panagou, who has been working in the organization since 1995, have produced remarcable performances for young audiences. The contribution of 'Aeroplio' to the development of the Greek Theatre for young audiences is important for both reasons: children's aesthetic culture and the preservation of our cultural tradition, since much of their work is inspired by Greek mythology and our folk oral tradition. Their involvement in European as well as global programs concerning the theater for theater for childrens audiences underlines the importance of this type of theater and the commitment of its founders to their work.
