Λατινικά διακείμενα στα έργα του Κοσμά Πολίτη
Translated title:
Latin intertexts in Kosmas Politis’ literary works
Summary:
The current thesis aims to provide a hermeneutic exploration of the intertextual dialogue between Kosmas Politis’ literary work and Latin literary texts. Given the nature of the thesis’ methodology, a two chapter division was deemed appropriate. The first chapter in question focuses specifically on the Latin intertexts present in Politis’ novels Eroica, Hekate and At Hadzifrangos, as well as those in his novella The Plum Tree. The second chapter contains the examination of the Latin intertexts in his theatrical play Constantine the Great. Finally, it should be pointed out that our approach takes into consideration any citations in Latin, which themselves do not appear in any Latin texts, but are instead excerpts from modern literary texts.
