The present dissertation studies the theatrical comic elements of Libanius' Declamations 31 and 32. These elements can be found in the use of specific comic motifs, intertextual references, and also in the common ideological-ethical framework, which the above Declamations seem to share with Attic Comedy and, in particular, New Comedy.
