Summary:
This diploma thesis analyzes the existing regulatory framework of the AirBnB and Uber in Greece. This analysis is carried out through the examination of national and EU legislation and case law. For a broader understanding of the phenomenon, a look at the emergence and growth of the Sharing Economy and digital platforms is attempted, as well as a mapping of the regulatory actors’ network. Finally, through the dialogue that has developed in the world literature and the market failures that have emerged or intensified since the implementation of the regulatory framework, some regulatory proposals are underway.
