Summary:
In this thesis, Kant's Critique of the Power of Judgment is treated as a possible constitutive base for the foundation of the humanities and especially what the Neo-Kantians and W. Dilthey conceived as "Geisteswissenschaften"/"Kulturwissenschaften". Taking into account the transformation of the power of Judgment as reflective in the third Critique and it's expanded role in the whole critical system, Kant's reflections on beauty, "Darstellung" and teleology are being compared to the critical efforts of the aforementioned philosophers concerning the differences between natural sciences and the humanities/social sciences but also according to the role of values and method that penetrate each scientific field.
