Summary:
Indoor air quality is a phenomenon that has been a serious concern for researchers in recent years, as it is one of the important parameters for buildings and human health. Building ventilation is a greatly increased and quite common problem, which has been considerably reduced because of energy saving. For these reasons pollutants from the external environment, from everyday human activities, from structural or other materials, remain indoors causing adverse effects on the human body such as fatigue, irritated eyes, headache, asphyxia, allergies, mental difficulty, irritated nose, dry throat, runny nose and cough. According to studies, the use of appropriate ornamental plants contributes to reducing or eliminating a range of pollutants, providing a healthy and stylish environment. Laboratory studies show that the use of specific crops of indoor plants produce measurable results that contribute to the immediate and timeless improvement of the indoors atmosphere.
