Summary:
Recently, women's access to legal and safe abortion has come to the fore. In many countries around the world, from the US and to Latin America and Europe, public debate on this issue has been resurrected - most of the time, amending aspects of an existing law or passing a bill introducing a new legal framework, repealing the existing one. Within this - continuing - debate in the public sphere, in this paper I look for "aspects of the public debate on abortion in the Republic of Ireland".
