Installation art in Education and its role in Science Education
Summary:
The term Installation describes three-dimensional artworks formed as an environment or construction and aim in transforming the viewer's perception of space. Since the 1960s, scientists in collaboration with museologists have created installations within science museums, aiming at displaying the principles of the artifacts they exhibit . An essential component of exhibits are usually some scientific demonstration techniques / experiments, which installations can turn into interactive. Following the research, we focus on the use of installation art in education and more specifically in science education.
