Primary Health Care in Greece and the Republic of Moldova
This work is entitled The Primary Health Care System (PHC) in Greece and Moldova. First, the concept of Primary Health Care is analyzed, it is given the definition and is described the quality of the services it provides. Furthermore, is following a presentation of the Health System in Greece with a special focus on Primary Health Care, analyzing the basic goals of PHC, and how it works. It also analyzes the legal framework of the PHC in Greece. Then, there is a brief description of the innovations that have been made in the health system in recent years to improve the level of PHC.
After, there is a presentation of the Republic of Moldova, a brief historical overview and demographic details. The organization of the Health System in Moldova is presented and in particular it focuses on Primary Health Care as well as the presentation of the legislative framework. Then some health indicators are compared between Greece, the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.
In conclusion, there is a discussion about what has been presented and some suggestions that aim to improve Primary Health Care in Greece.
