THE CONCEPTS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH SIXTY BIOGRAFIES BELONGING TO MEMBERS OF TREATMENT PROGRAMMES OF KETHEA THAT THEY ARE EX PRISONERS
Summary:
The present research aims to show the meaning but the interdependence of the concepts of self efficacy and self esteem as found in 60 biographies of members treated in one of the adult therapy programs of KETHEA. The purpose of this study is to highlight theoretically framed thematic categories that emerge from the content of biographies. These thematic axes are intended to holistically touch how they are empowered and how these core concepts change, both during a person's use of psychotropic substances and during treatment.
The sample comprises a total of 60 biographical texts, which were collected under the supervision and approval of the KETHEA Research Division with a rigorous, primarily reliable, protocol for collaboration and protection of personal data. More specifically, these texts are about serving adult members of different programs, with burdened physical and mental health as well as a criminal record, which witnesses multiple experiences of abuse, incarceration, and institutionalization. The biographies have been compiled as a way of assessing the experiences of these individuals, concluding that they are looking to and looking into their future. Due to the large volume of theoretical framework of the central concepts, methodologically productive top-down was chosen with thematic analysis of the data, in order to gain an in-depth understanding, decoding and interpretation.
The findings of this study confirm and highlight the central importance of central concepts, while relying on contemporary bibliographic and research studies, with the ultimate aim of offering the sacred purpose of treatment for addicts.
