Fascism: historical development and approaches
Summary:
This paper starts with the proven abolishment some known misinterpretations about the nature of fascism, as a political ideology and political regime. Then, a historical sketch of the thought of the modern West will follow, as a domination of reason against the use of mythical symbols in politics, and as the material for the figuration of fascist ideology. We will then connect those elements to the decline of the liberal democratic ideal during the Interwar period and we will show how that process came along with use of modern technology and reason in every area. Finally, we will describe our main interpretation for the fascist phenomenon, as triple revolution: against Modernity (by its own means), against historical progress and against the linear understanding of history, that first appeared in Europe with Christianity.
