Comparison of embryo development of ICSI and IVF-derived embryos in modified natural cycles according to time-lapse technology
Summary:
The study was performed on a total of 72 embryos from modified natural cycles, in order to compare the effect of Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and Conventional IVF procedure on embryos development. ICSI was performed in 43 couples, whereas conventional IVF was performed in 29 couples. Time-lapse technology was used to observe and evaluate the embryos. For this purpose the embryos were placed in the EmbryoScope + incubator. Embryo morphokinetics were evaluated, including the presence of multinucleation, direct cleavage, and reverse cleavage. The present results suggest that fertilization method does not affect embryo development in modified natural cycles.
