De la réserve à la vitrine: la mise en valeur de la céramique byzantine en Grèce
Languages of Item:

Abstract:
The first collections of Byzantine pottery and the first catalogs date from the last decades of the nineteenth and the early twentieth centuries. Research, however, took a long time to get really interested in these everyday objects. Even more recent is the attribution of a museological value and their presence in the permanent or temporary exhibitions of the Greek museums. The interest aroused for this material since the organization of specialized congresses and temporary exhibitions has resulted in a constant enhancement which goes hand in hand with the advancement of research and the support provided by the hard sciences.
