Legal issues arising from wreck' s removal
Summary:
This essay is my educational work for the acquisition of a postgraduate degree in Maritime Law and is entitled "Legal issues arising from wreck's removal".
The aim of this work is to approach a maritime accident / shipwreck, in the light of our International, European and National Law, especially regarding the issue of its lifting.

In particular, in this paper we will examine the various legal issues that arise during the process of recovery of a shipwreck and how they are addressed by the established International and European Law, in the direction of our national legal framework and analyzing Law 2881/2001.
Resolving such an important and at the same time difficult issue has always been and continues to be a request of the entire international community, starting with the states that are actively involved in shipping. Cowardly steps are being taken and legal loopholes are emerging to avert the various problems of a shipwreck, but the demand for a comprehensive, comprehensive and effective international legal framework is still active and perhaps more relevant than ever.
