Εταιρική κοινωνική ευθύνη και ηθική εταιρικής διακυβέρνησης: καλές πρακτικές εργασιακών σχέσεων τον 21ο αιώνα στην Ελλάδα
Translated title:
Corporate social responsibility and corporate governance ethics: good working practices in the 21st century in Greece
Summary:
In the contemporary socio-economic reality, new challenges have emerged for the relationship between business and employees. The global economic crisis as well as the uncontrollable business logic that prevailed with the globalization of the market have created an unstable environment, which has not left labor relations intact. Labor rights are abolished or diminished and classical forms of labor are marginalized for the sake of new, more flexible ones: the gap between workers and businesses deepens, following the general trend of international social discontent due to growing social inequalities.
The need for a new conception of business and corporate governance, that focuses on man and ethics, is not new. In the current context, however, it is imperative that business ethics and corporate social responsibility go beyond the level of declarations and public relations, and be seen as a necessary condition for the development of sustainable growth, which will ensure greater cohesion and stability in societies. Labor relations are a privileged and critical field for the implementation of such a view.
