The thesis is the result of systemic research in the fields of Historic Musicology, Music Analysis and music Pedagogy in piano studies. It belongs to the category of quality researches that combines the characteristics of Historic Musicology and Systemic Musicology.
It concerns piano pieces for children by Greek composers of 20th and 21th century showing the historic continuity and development of Greek music through the century. The research shows that Greek piano music for children turns to be worthwhile composition that gives the opportunity to young pianists to play high quality music that promote their technical and artistic skills.
In addition, children recognize the historic continuity of Greek music for piano and the bonds between Greek creations, European music tradition and temporary music.
