Summary:
Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to approach , in the light of philosophy , the meaning of t mourning and its presence as an expression to Human’ s life , because of the loss beloved persons , facing the irrevocable of Death. The express of pain is registered through Humanity’s History as actuality ,within the bounds of the personal express of γόος – goos ( lamentation ) and the “dancing dirge” .Lamentation of goos and threnos ( θρήνος) embrace the gaze of the mourning soul , in front of the dead , during the funeral and the burial. The mourning seems like Ades river which turns the interior power of the soul , to the reveal of this emotion . How does the society of Homer embrace this expression? Does the Myth record the mourning? Do Gods participate to the nature of tears? Pain is revealed through the Art of Poetry , the art of the tragic poets and Homer and through the archaeological ruins of vases like white lekythos and through Grave reliefs - stones. Does soul participate to a God’s mourning? The purpose of these questions is to reveal the expression of soul in front of its mourning for the Death.
