Turkey's Foreign Policy in the United Nations - The case of the Ukraine Crisis

This study is an attempt to decode Turkish foreign policy on the basis of Turkey's contribution to the UN resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, the cessation of the war and the final settlement of the differences between the two parties. The research question of this study is "What is the physiognomy of Turkish foreign policy and how it is reflected in the United Nations, especially in the case of the Ukrainian Crisis?"
The paper research covers a time period of eleven months, from the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territories (February 23, 2022) to December of the same year. The theoretical prism under which the research question is examined is realism with elements of critical realism.
Within the research framework set by the paper, the main axes of Turkish foreign policy, the Turkish state's aspirations in the UN, the Ukrainian Crisis and its handling by the UN and finally, Turkey's position and role in the management of the Russian-Ukrainian Crisis are studied.
