<dc:description xml:lang="en">We are living in an era where crises have escalated both qualitatively and quantitatively, creating a complex environment of interconnected events whose effects cumulatively impact states, testing their resilience. Within this perilous reality, the Eastern Mediterranean has evolved into a geopolitical space that appears condemned to instability, as it produces far more insecurity than it can consume. Greece, situated at the epicenter of this Mediterranean polycrisis hotspot, is called upon to confront this new status quo as effectively as possible, utilizing the limited means available at both the strategic and financial-technical levels. The main objective of this thesis is to contribute to the construction of polycrisis theory, to demonstrate the necessity of examining deeper interconnections as opposed to a mere coincidental view of the phenomenon, and to conclude with proposals for the evolution of the crisis management paradigm through the establishment of a substantial National Security Strategy.</dc:description>
