Η κόπωση υπολογίστηκε χρησιμοποιώντας την εξίσωση Slope Decrement = [((slope over completed sprints)/(fastest time)) × 100] × (Completed Sprints -1).
<dc:description xml:lang="en">This study aims to investigate the impact of fatigue and aerobic capacity on F-v parameters in runners specializing in endurance and sprint events. Twelve healthy male runners were divided into two groups: Endurance (END) and Sprint (SPR). Participants underwent a series of tests, including 60 m sprints, a vertical F-v profile, and an aerobic laboratory test to determine their aerobic capacity. Key tests included 10 × 60 m sprints with 30 s recovery intervals and 4 × 60 m sprints following continuous running at 100% of vVO2max until the runner was not able to keep up to the designated pace, with lactate measurements taken at specified intervals. Fatigue was calculated using a specific slope decrement formula, which was Slope Decrement = [((slope over completed sprints)/(fastest time)) × 100] × (Completed Sprints -1). Statistical analyses (MANOVA, trend ANOVA, and regression) revealed significant differences in aerobic performance, with the END group showing higher VO2max (Δ = 14.86%, p < 0.001), vVO2max (Δ = 18.93%, p < 0.001), and Ventilatory Threshold Speed (Δ = 20.99%, p < 0.001). However, no significant differences were found in vmax or the overall F-v profiles between groups. Specific strength and power metrics such as F0 (Δ = 23.46%, p < 0.05) and Pmax (Δ = 27.79%, p < 0.01) were higher in the SPR group. In the 10 × 60 m fatigue test, the SPR group exhibited significantly greater fatigue (Δ = 42.2%, p < 0.001). Regression analysis showed significant correlations between fatigue and both vVO2max (R2 = 0.57, p = 0.004) and anaerobic speed reserve (R2 = 0.56). These findings highlight distinct aerobic and anaerobic adaptations in sprinters and endurance runners, particularly in relation to force production and fatigue response.</dc:description>
