Θα εξεταστούν οι τρόποι εμπλοκής τους στα σχετικά γεγονότα και οι λόγοι που υπαγόρευσαν τη στάση που κράτησαν. Θα αναλυθούν οι σχέσεις τους με τη Ρώμη και τους Σελευκίδες, ενώ θα θιχτεί και η στάση του βασιλείου της Μακεδονίας, το οποίο, ενώ θεωρητικά βρίσκεται εκτός θέματος της εργασίας, πρακτικά δε γίνεται να μην αναφερθεί, καθ’ ότι η στάση του βασιλιά Φιλίππου Ε΄, αλλά και η μεταχείρισή του από τη Ρώμη κρίνονται τουλάχιστον ενδιαφέρουσες. This study will examine the stance adopted by the Greek cities and leragues of mainland Greece during the Roman–Seleucid War. It will explore their involvement in the relevant events, as well as the factors that determined the positions they assumed. Furthermore, their relations with Rome and the Seleucids will be analyzed. Attention will also be given to the stance of the Kingdom of Macedon, which, although theoretically lying outside the principal scope of this study, cannot in practice be omitted, since both the policy pursued by King Philip V and his treatment by Rome are of particular interest.
