<dc:description xml:lang="en">Archaeological sites play a crucial role in the preservation, promotion and management of cultural heritage. Their aim is not only to uncover and reconstruct the past, but also to connect it with the contemporary needs and demands of Greek society. This is clearly the case for the archaeological site of Nicopolis. This work describes the main aspects of Roman and Byzantine Nicopolis, focusing on the various aspects of the public and private life of its inhabitants. Its design focuses on presenting different aspects of the city: on the one hand, the magnificent Roman Nicopolis, founded as a symbol of a triumphant victory and to demonstrate the power of Octavian Augustus, the first Roman Emperor, and on the other, the anthropocentric character of the city, reflecting the daily life of its people. Particular emphasis is placed on the characteristics of the city, such as the structures, institutions, architecture and worship, which testify to the osmosis of Hellenistic tradition with Roman innovation. The second part examines the educational actions that take place and their connection with the local society of Preveza.</dc:description>
