Περίληψη:
Around three decades after the fall of the communism, and almost two decades after the end of all official war conflicts in the former Yugoslavia, countries of the Western Balkans still have a major problem to fully figure out and implement democratic rules. One of the key factors which stand as an obstacle on their transitional path is particracy. The subject of this thesis is to clarify the conditions for the emergence of particracy, its potential consequences and the ways in which it prevents democratic consolidation of the Western Balkans, on the examples of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.
