Patients with CKD often report a variety of negative emotional reactions.
Several studies are showing increased anxiety, mood disorders and poor
emotional wellbeing.
The purpose of this study was to estimate the intensity of anxiety and
depression experienced by patients with chronic kidney disease
HD patients experience more intense anxiety and depression than the general
population and these emotional disorders are associated with various
sociodemographic factors and are negatively affecting their quality of life.
