Summary:
The development and the period of Ultrasound has brought us closer to the
events of intrauterine life, so that we can understand the mechanisms of
embryonic development and to recognize the pathological processes leading to
reduced growth.
Based on the above we can understand that the problem of intrauterine growth
retardation of the fetus is a multifactorial and multisystemic, which requires
special attention and care because of severe perinatal impact it has on the
fetus. Of particular importance is the vigilance to identify high risk groups
and early diagnosis of embryos such as the proper and effective treatment will
reduce perinatal mortality.
Great value would have been massive and systematic updating of pregnant not
only the impact of the IUGR and the causes that cause it. Also the application
of diagnostic screening methods can be incorporated to prevent its effects.
Long seen as the contribution of Doppler ultrasound and biophysical profile
monitoring leads to information about the "well being" of the fetus and the
stocks reflect tolerance to conditions of hypoxia and thus can determine the
treatment.
The large proportion of intrauterine deaths associated with intrauterine growth
retardation has mobilized the medical world in an attempt to find more and more
sophisticated methods for monitoring and response. Maybe we have a lot to learn
yet in improving our development of methods now used, but the continuous
updating our IUGR issues will make us able to contribute as we professionals in
the development of these methods.
