Mean value analysis in queueing systems
Summary:
This study presents the technique to determine mean performance characteristics
of queueing models, known as mean value analysis. In particular MVA is a
technique for calculating the efficiency measures, such as the mean queue
length E(Q) and the mean waiting time E(W). Results of the application of MVA
into classic queueing systems, into queueing systems with vacations and finally
into queueing networks are presented.
