Perception of seismic risk and vulnerability for the Municipality of Galatsi

In this dissertation the concept of earthquake riskiness inside the city limits
of Galatsi city was studied with the use of a questionnaire which was formed
after having taken into consideration former bibliography adjusted to the
typical or particular features of local society and the Municipality structure
as well.The questionnaire was answered by local residents.
After the answers and new data were studied and evaluated there were created
indicators for the perception of Riskiness,Awareness and Readiness so that the
rate of Social Capability of Galatsi citizens would be estimated aferwards.
Moreover, criteria of Vulnerability at all levels were defined on case of an
upcoming earthquake .
Finally a comparison was carried out between the results of our study and the
results of a previous thesis concerning Kifissia
