Summary:
Scope of the present thesis is the analysis of a web GIS application that
calculates the potential solar power of a specific area in Greece. The name of
the application is “Solar Power Estimator of Greece” (SPE of Greece). The
purpose of the SPE of Greece gives the public access to understand the
photovoltaic technology, the environmental profits and a general idea about
financial investments.
