In the present work is presented the study on the linguistic planning of an
electronic explanatory dictionary with terms from the science of
Telecommunications. The dictionary is addressed in the wide public with
possibilities for the most optimal attribution of interpretations in multiple
languages with simple systems of machine translation. This work took place in
the frame of the “Computational Linguistics” subject that is included in the
Program of Postgraduate Study in the department of Informatics and
Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In
the work are described analytically the fields of texts that were selected, the
characteristics and the needs of the users as well as the methodology that was
developed. Moreover becomes analytic description of the operation system and
the user interface.
