Application that delivers stock exchange information in smartphones

In the scope of current thesis, an application for smart mobile devices that
are using Android operating system was developed. The application called
StockWatch, provides user with stock data from Athens Stock Exchange. The
displayed data are in a 15 minutes delay and are available through web services
provided by Athens Stock Exchange. StockWatch’s goal is to give a quick and
thus detailed view of the market to anyone that has an Android mobile device
with access to the internet. The information is organized in list views that
contain market’s statistics such as top 10 stocks by turnover, by volume etc.
By selecting a stock from the list, user is provided with detailed information
for currently selected stock such as metadata, today’s sales and news. Sales
are displayed in a chart view while metadata and news in table views.
