Summary:
This Master Thesis is dealing with the scientific field of e-health. More
specifically the main focus is on fields such as mobile-health (m-health)
,portable technologies and every kind of e-health service , which can be
created in terms of an organized medical environment. A sufficient analysis is
made for the medical applications developed and illustrated in smartphones, as
well as for those Information Health System applications such as the Electronic
Health Record (EHR),e-Prescription and every kind of application in general
which can fundamentally change the way health data is being stored , processed
, analized and protected so as to provide real time services to doctors and
patients. This Thesis is mainly focused on e-Health Services providing enough
evidence that explains their help on improving medical analysis and the
efficiency of medical decisions. Information Health Systems are well defined
and the health data which are exchanged though them are defining the field of
e-health. Furthermore, there is a description of e-health situation, services
and Information Systems in Greece. Moreover statistics are given not only for
Greece but also as far as the e-health situation in Europe and worldwide is
concerned. Finally,some important criteria are shown in order to evaluate
health services in a proper way.
