Κατασκευή Οντολογίας και Μετατροπή των Δεδομένων σε RDF Μορφή για το Κοινωνικό Δίκτυο Facebook
Summary:
The large and constantly growing amount of data circulating in the Web could
prohibit its further development. This could occur due to the simplicity of the
Web’s functionality. The Semantic Web offered a solution to the above problem
through the semantics on the data, which is easily perceivable by machines.
The present master thesis is based on the Semantic Web’s idea. To be more
precise, the Graph of Social Network Facebook will be studied with an aim to
initially determine the way that entities are linked to their properties. After
the comprehension of the Graph’s structure, I will continue with the
construction of the Facebook ontology that standardizes the part of the Graph,
in which we are mostly interested. Furthermore, based on the Graph and the
respective ontology, the related data –which mostly refer to entities charged
with geospatial information– will be exported. Through the RDF and RDFS models,
these data will be enriched with semantics and will be combined with other open
interlinked data in order to be easily processed by machines and return the
execution of rich queries in SPARQL language, using the Strabon system for the
management of geospatial RDF data.
