Mathematical control theory
Summary:
In the present master thesis the assessment of the basic principles of the
Mathematical Control Theory is performed. In Chapter 1 a practical, applied
example is presented, in order to depict in an intuitive manner a number of the
basic objectives of the Control Theory. In Chapter 2 a general description of
the control systems as well as their main characteristics is given. Chapter 2
also includes the process of the systems’ classification and taxonomy in
various categories, according to their properties. Chapter 3 is devoted to the
concept of observability. Several important basic theorems are presented and
analyzed, and their principles are applied in various exercises for the purpose
of better understanding of the idea of observability. Finally, in Chapter 3 the
concept of reachability for the linear systems is also introduced.
