Original Title:
Summary:
The objective of this thesis is the study of characteristics and possibilities
of the sustained release systems which are based on natural polymers,
polysaccharides, i.e. dextran, chitosan and pectin which are cleaved
specifically in the colon. In this study, it is performed a comparison of the
active component release from matrix type tablets based on the polymers
mentioned above in: A) natural solutions and B) solutions contained artificial
intestinal culture (pectinex). As a drug model, it was used theophylline
(moderate aqueous solubility- 11.2 g/lt) and mesalazine (lower aqueous
solubility – 1 g/lt). Also, the characteristics of the solubility and the
erosion of polymers were studied. It was examined the dependence of the
theophylline and mesalazine tablets release rate from the quantity of dextran,
pectin and chitosan respectively.
