Σύνθεση, δομή και μαγνητικές ιδιότητες συμπλόκων του κοβαλτίου και του μαγγανίου με οξιμικούς υποκαταστάτες
Summary:
In this work, on the basis of the previous experience and knowledge of our
research team on the coordination chemistry of a-benzil monoxime with Ni(II),
which drove, among others to the isolation of a family of octanuclear
clusters, we studied the relevant chemistry with Co(II). Given that the above
reaction system did not fulfill our expectations, we turned toward the study of
one more reaction system aiming to isolate polynuclear metal complexes with
interesting magnetic properties. For this purpose, we studied the coordination
chemistry of the dioximes of the 2,6-diformyl-4-methyl phenol (LH3) and
2,6-diformyl-4-tert-butyl phenol (L΄H3), two oximes that chemically resemble
the salicylaldoxime and its substituted derivatives with the coordination
chemistry. The study of the magnetic properties of complex 2•6EtOH revealed the
presence of strong antiferromagnetic interactions between the metal centers
resulting in a non-magnetic ground state.
