Summary:
This master thesis deals various decoding techniques based on linear
programming (LP) techniques. The aim of this paper is to present some ways for
implementation maximum likelihood decoding schemes (MLD) by linear programming
techniques, on a random binary code, based on observations obtained from any
binary channel without memory.
Τhe mathematical background used for the acquisition of the maximum likelihood
problem, it is well known from the international literature. This paper gives
particular emphasis to the structure of that kind of optimization problems.
Finally, some experiments presented using the proposed decoding schemes and the
results were quite optimistic and had quite good performance, compared with
standard decoding schemes. The experiments implemented with the matrix
programming language, MATLAB.
