Summary:
From the Crepis dioscoridis L. extract, 4 guaianolides, 6 guaianolide
glucosides, 2 flavoinoids and 3 phenolic compounds, have been isolated. 11β,
13-dihydro-crepiside C was isolated and reported as a new natural product. The
anti-inflammatory effect of the guaianolide, 8-epi-grosheimin, was estimated.
It was found that it acts throught the inhibition of the transcription factor
NF-κB.
