The term “transformational government” (tGovernement) was introduced by the
Government of the United Kingdom in 2005. It is thought to be the new form of
the well known term “e-Government”. tGovernment describes the structure changes
needed in the public sector, having in mind the progress made in ICT. The
transformational Government program has several targets among which, giving the
people one stop services, restructuring the public sector and the increase of
the people’s participation in eDemocracy. Out target is to present all these
terms through a travel in the past, a description of the current situation and
our future goals. So, we are trying to match what we lived in recent years,
what we are facing nowadays and our future strategy with all that has been said
by the Informatics Scientist on the field of Information Systems and
eGovernment. This thesis aims to be a precursor of a research on
transformational government, through a set of questions built on the five first
chapters. Through this questionnaire, the researcher can derive useful
information on the progress of transformational government in an organization.
This information could not only be the result of a wide research, but also a
framework on which a transformational government strategy can be adopted by the
organizations who take part in the research
