The present thesis aims at determing the Sexually Transmitted Diseases and investigating their consequences in the achievement of pregnancy and its successful completion.
An effort was made in order to present the appearance of sexually transmitted diseases diachronically in Greece and globally.
Moreover, the sexually transmitted diseases are analyzed as far as the way they are transmitted, are diagnosed and are cured is concerned.
This thesis is a result of an extensive research in which various and numerous resources from bibliography and internet were used.
In conclusion, the consequences of sexually transmitted diseases are severe in the achievement and evolution of pregnancy and for mother’s and newborn baby’s health. It is also necessary to mention that the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and their treatment are of major importance.
