Summary:
The rapid evolution of technology combined with the need for easy access to information led to the creation of Information Systems. The Information Systems are applying to more and more increasing applications in the health sector. One of these is the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in cardiological and cardiac surgery unit of 424 GSNE, which extends the traditional Medical Record in features and services.
This dissertation deals with the development and creation of an Electronic Patient Record (EPR). The application was performed by the Microsoft Access program, with the SQL language, which contributed to the operational management and retrieval of data from the base. Also was made use of the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language.
The main object of this dissertation is the development of such an information system, whose structure will improve the depended experience, which is gained from a possible use in real environment.
