Original Title:
Η Χρηματοπιστωτική κρίση του 2007-2008 και το διεθνές εμπόριο.
Summary:
A critical point in the history of global economic integration was the financial crisis that broke out in the autumn of 2007 and deteriorated in 2008 in the USA with dramatic consequences in the entire range of economic activities and the real economy of national, regional and global formations. This paper aims to highlight the causes that led to the financial crisis and its impact on international trade. The import demand fell sharply, trade financing was limited and new policies of trade protectionism emerged. These three factors caused the great collapse of international trade, a collapse which can be compared with that of the Great Depression in 1929.
