Summary:
Post – exercise proteinuria is a benign and reversible, exercise depend change, of the
urine substitution (Poortmans, 1984). The aim of the current study was : (a) to define
the soccer players functional mechanism of the kidneys, during a football match,
while they are participating in different competition positions; (b) the amount of
micro molecular and macromolecular proteins that excretes from the kidneys and loss
from the urine; (c) to define which training and rehabilitation program is ideal for
each different competition position. Accordingly, in the present study the following
associated hypotheses have been tested: (1) soccer players who compete in different
positions have different type, post -exercise proteinuria; (2) their training programme
should be specialized depending to their competition - metabolic needs. The study and
the definition of the phenomenon that depends on the player’s position will help the
gathering of information about the kidneys functional mechanism, as well as the
maximization of the training efficiency. In the present study took part 20 male (N=20)
active, extreme defensive, soccer players, who competed, in two football matches
against the same team, in different positions. First they competed as extreme
defensive players and then as middle field players. We measured their urine for micro
molecular and macromolecular proteins in their post – exercise urine and lactic acid in
their blood. The statistical analysis has been done with the SPSS 12.0. The results of
the present study have been expressed by means and standard deviation. For the
comparison of the means we used t-tests for depended samples and the two – way
ANOVA for repeated measurements, significance was set at a=0.05 (one way). The
statistical analysis of the data distributed results that indicate post – exercise proteinuria in both positions, but different type proteinuria in each position (p<0.05).
The present study distributes and evaluates data, for the first time ever, for the
exercise induce proteinuria which differs between the players positions.
Conclusively: the soccer players have different type proteinuria which
depends on their competition position and they have the need to
specialize their training, rehabilitation and supplement programmes
according to their competition and metabolic needs.
