Summary:
Turkey and USA, two countries with many differences between them but with a long - standing cooperation. 1952, officially marks the start of this cooperation between those countries which has passed through various stages of change until today. The bilateral relations between them are influenced both by external factors and by the formation of the foreign policy of the two countries, which over the years is becoming more and more tough. We will see that the need to serve political, economic and military interests will be the cornerstone of the US-Turkish alliance. The aim of this study is to present differences and similarities of the US-Turkish relations between 1950-1960 and 2005-2015, thus arriving at some conclusions of their relation so far and at the same time getting a taste of the developments that will come to the surface.
