Bioethics in obstertics
Summary:
Every healthcare practitioner faces moral dilemmas in his / her day-to-day work when making medical / nursing decisions. Particularly at the time of dilemmas we are more and more complicated due to the rapid growth of science and biomedical technology. The decision-making and the actions selected at one time require certain basic conditions. That is, we need not only good scientific and technical training but also critical thinking, mental sensitivity, information on the ethical issues that arise each time and a deep understanding of human nature. Health professionals have a responsibility to cultivate and develop ways of thinking and making medical / nursing decisions based on ethical principles. The life of man is a gift of God, it is not his property, so that it is degraded to an object of human decision, but a gift that God has entrusted to man. Life in the Old Testament texts is not only an anthropological term but above all a theological one, it does not only express all the attributes of those who give biological substance to man, but above all the "action" of God in creation. Man exists and is kept in being by participating in the creative energy of God. Moreover, the value of human life dominates all religions and all nations, and its removal is one of the greatest sins. Taking all these into account, the physician / nurse should respect the value of every person's life regardless of the health problem he faces. The medical care it provides should be holistic in order to improve health, prevent disease, relieve pain and restore health.
