Sapphire crystals in plumasite composed of anorthite and tourmaline. Desilicified pegmatite (plumasite) formed by the intrusion of a pegmatite dike within an ultrabasic body. This rock type occurs near the contact between the migmatitic dome and the metamorphic cover of Naxos.
