The impact of the 2001 constitutional amendment on the protection of fundamental rights
Summary:
Having as a reference the constitutional amendment of 2001, in the present research study, the changes that were implemented in the domain of the constitutionally established human rights will be analyzed. By studying the historical evolution of the fundamental rights, an attempt will be made to answer the basic question, of what was the aim and which were the pursuits of the amending legislator in the 2001 endeavor. Through these questions of the ascertained, whether the new constitutional text, managed to cope with the constantly variable social-political environment and the new technological conditions, by defending the fundamental principles and values for the optimal protection of the individual and social co-habitation.
