Molecular mechanisms underlying the diffusion of gliomas through the white matter of the central nervous system.
Summary:
Gliomas are the most common and deadliest tumors of the central nervous system. Their high mortality is due to their highly diffusive tendency which mostly takes place through the white matter tracts. However the mechanism is not yet clarified. A systematic review documented all the published data regarding the diffusion of gliomas through the white matter and will aid the better understanding of the understanding mechanism and possible treatment modalities.
