Summary:
There is a plurality of theories and models about disability exist various theories and models. Even between disabled people there are different positions on disability. So, it is claimed that disability is a medical issue or a personal tragedy of the person who experiences it. From the other side, it is claimed that disability is socially produced, manifested through the attitude of society towards disabled people or through failures to adapt its structures to them. Its construction takes at all levels of social life, speech and interaction.
Both in sociology and psychology, the case study methodology is plural. This qualitative study used the method of life stories, to analyze the personal stories of four people with disabilities, on their education and vocational rehabilitation. Through these narratives the objective was to study how people with disabilities build their self image, their educational progress, their development in society, their attitude toward it, their opinion about disability as well as their rehabilitation and development.
