Summary:
In this paper we are interested in studying the power of hierarchical control as a basic feature of the hierarchical principle, namely its correlation with disciplinary control in the law of civil servants.
Hierarchical control, also known as internal control or self-control of the Administration, is a technique against state arbitrariness and is emanating from the Rule of Law. The power of administrative authorities to depend on administrative coercion and / or prevention is considerated in the classical theories in Greece and France as a form of expression of hierarchical control over individual civil servants, which manifests itself as a disciplinary power. However, is disciplinary control actually a form of hierarchical control or does it have different elements and comes in with a different aspect, this is the issue we are trying to answer in this study.
